Shalla Chevrolet, Detroit, MI Zone 44, dealer 418, March 1969

Hi folks, new here.

I just joined the NCRS as I recently bought a `69 Corvette roadster.
I received my Shipping Data Report today that shows the car was built March 25, 1969 and sold through Shalla Chevrolet (Zone 44, Dealer 418).

Does anyone have any dealer info for Shalla? I think they may have gone out of business in `73, but not sure.

I have no docs for the car and would love to see if there is any dealer paperwork anywhere.

Hey Rick !! Welcome to the fun !! Do a Google search on Shalla Chevrolet. There is some info out there. It appears they were involved in high performance cars and even sponsored some drag racers. Hope you can get some leads there.

Thanks Tom,
I did find some info that says that Shalla sold Yenko cars in `67, and also that they sponsored some drag cars as well as other racing.
I'm wondering what there may be out there in the way of dealer paperwork from them, but it looks like they have been closed for a long time so maybe nothing.
My car has all signs of being a 427/435 car with few other options, so may have been ordered to race.
