    Hi Bill,

Not sure if this will help but the owner of Sullivan Chevrolet lived in Berkeley Heights in the late 70's - early 80's - I believe on Sutton Drive. I used to know his daughter Beth Sullivan, but don't remember his name. Maybe the Tax office would have some old records. If you can get his name you might be able to locate him. Good Luck!

Back in 1975 I had the opportunity to buy a Delco/Fomoco distributorship I had worked at back in the late 50's just out of high school. One of the customers I had was Sullivan Chev, which was a very large dealer located on the main drag in Roselle. Never met Mr. Sullivan, dealt with the Parts Mgr. named Joe - I remember that Joe lived around Old Bridge, N.J.
I don't remember Sullivan selling a great deal of vettes, did seem to sell a great deal of Camaro
Two things I do remember - in the middle of their showroom floor they had a 1920 something Chev. restored delivery truck, had a black roof and fenders - the body was done in a bright green with Sullivan Chev. written in gold metalflake, had wood spokes it was really sharp. Then downstairs they had a section where they kept large body parts and they had a car wrapped in tarp. One day I was there with the parts mgr. and asked about the car - he lifted the tarp and there was Mr. Sullivans 1953 vette, ordered when new and waiting for a one day frame off. In 1977 I went out of business due to GM introducing "Mr. Goodwrench". Would like to know what happened to the 53.

Thanks for the reply's. I have found that the owner was Paul Sullivan but have not located him yet. I believe that they just went out of business a few years ago but more than likely the records are gone with the 53. Thanks again,,,,,,,,bill
