    Surprise!

Sent for my Shipping Data Report on the 65 I am restoring thinking it would tell me the car came from the Ft. Wayne-Huntington, Indiana area --boy was I stunned -- report says the car was delivered to dealer code #463 in zone 11 - production date was 5-21-65 -- address of dealer was
Rogers Chevrolet - Rantoul, Illinois. Does anyone know anything about this dealer?
Special thanks to Roy Sinor & NCRS for gathering this info.

Nothing about the dealer, but back in those days Rantoul had a large US Air Force training base. That may or may not relate to your Corvette.

Yes there was an Air Force base in Rantoul,Ill. Got on the internet and
found that Rogers Chevrolet is still in bussiness. Hope someone knows
a contact. I am thinking about driving over there in the near future.

        Hi William:

Dug up some old contacts for you this morning. I sent them to you by PM.

I show records for this dealer as far back as 1963 and the trail seems to end around 2002. Not sure if the current dealer is related or not. Good luck with the contacts.

Wish you were there in 65, by the way were the service men buying
            or driving corvettes.
