They sold quite a few high performance chevys I know a guy who owns a 1969 Daytona Yellow Copo camaro that was a drag car from them.

I didn't dig up any good solid contacts for you on this one. Westchester county records show they filed for business in September of 1950 and disolved in August of 1984.

My 1972 Elkhart green LT-1 coupe was purchased at Byrne Brothers, Virginia road in North white plains. I understood that they sold quite a few high performance corvettes from that dealership.

That Daytona Yellow '69 COPO was never raced in that configuration. Its an accurate day-2 machine built by the owner of the Arone Auto Body who paints for the Super Car Workshop. They both do outstanding work! It is an original COPO from Byrne Brother's Chevrolet though... how cool is that!

I'm from Westchester and Byrne Brother's is our local Yenko Chevrolet or Baldwin Chevrolet. Lots of Hi-Po dealers in the immediate area but nothing like Byrne Brothers.

Yes, I know Frank Arone very talented bodyman. I live about 25 miles from his shop. Between the efforts of Frank's body shop and Brain and the guys from Super car workshops they turn out some amazing cars to say the least. I knew the Daytona Yellow Copo was from Byrne Brothers I guess I just assumed since it was in race car form that it was used as the dealers race car. Good to know!!!
