The NCRS shipping report I received for my 1966 Corvette, an L72, shows it was delivered to dealer Code 496, Zone 49. Unfortunatley the NCRS Data Reports that the only information they can provide at this time was that this dealer was in Pennsylvania and started with an "S". When I go onto the NCRS Dealer code section it states the Original dealer name/address was Sausman Chevrolet Company, 717 Market Street Lemoyne, PA. (Archived from an original warranty booklet with Jim Clemens Corvette) Anyone remember them or have any further info?
Anyone remember Sausman Chevrolet Leymoyne, PA.

Bryan, How did you find that - the exact guy you'd want to talk to.
I tried calling around Mason Chevy (now just Kennett Square Chev.) looking for an old salesman or any one that was around back then, searched the web for days trying to find out the history of Mason. Any ideas?- Top

Re: Anyone remember Sausman Chevrolet Leymoyne, PA.
My office is just down the street from 717 Market at 2132 Market. I know alot of guys around here that purchased cars new at Sunderland Chevy in Lemoyne when they were in business in the 70's. Also Sausman Chevy hit a chord with me, but I didn't know why. I simply followed what I already knew and hit Google ... the rest is, as they say, history.- Top

Re: Anyone remember Sausman Chevrolet Leymoyne, PA.
Hi Bryan,
Thanks for the info. You are correct. Klare Sunderland worked as a manager for Sausman Chevrolet and purchased the Sausman Franchise upon the death of David Sausman in 1969 and renamed the dealership Sunderland Chevrolet. Klare Sunderland now owns and operates Sun Motor Cars Inc. on 6677 Carlisle Pike Mechanicsburg, PA.. I found this by doing a quick Google Search. If anyone you know in the area remembers a 1966 roadster being purchased from Sausman Chevrolet sometime after March 10th 1966 I would love to speak with them!!- Top
