Recieved my NCRS Dealer code and zone yesterday, can anyone help with Dealer Code 278 Zone 32

Athol MA.

Ernest T. Fredette INC.

Looks like they started in 1946. Address was 1670 Old Keene Rd. P.O. Box 486 in Athol, MA. 01331

Larry Adams was listed as the president.
Deborah M. Adams was listed as secretary and treasurer.

Not sure if either are still living, but it might be worth a search ! Best of luck !!

Was Ernest T. Fredette Inc. a Chevy dealership in 1966, with Code 278, zone 32, I was wondering if they owned several dealerships and that's why it was Inc., just a thought.

Can't say for certain if they were a multi store dealership or not. Based on the records I saw, I'd say no. I saw nothing with dealer code or zone ID either.

Steve, at that time, there was no NCRS ! It wasn't until 1974 that the NCRS was formed.

Thanks Ralph, special thanks to Tom and Deborah for all of your help, I ended up speaking with the owner of the dealership last night about 7:30PM, it was his fathers business, he took it over mid to late 70's sold it 2004, had every record in the basement until then, new owner threw it all away, he still ownes the vacant building, but the dealewrship had moved, I contacted the new dealership yesterday,with the deer in the head light responce, another brick wall, records, what records, anyway I have contacted the MA BMV and the Mich. BMV for title searches, I will let you all know what I found out.

Nankivel Chevy sold to Classic Chevy mid 80's, my brother was parts mgr. there along with one of my good friends was the body shop mgr, I can get all kinds of info, straight from the source

if anybody runs across a chevy dealership in Shelbvyille IN. I'm your man for any info, it was called M.B. Nankivel Chevy sold to Classic Chevy mid 80's, my brother was parts mgr. there along with one of my good friends was the body shop mgr, I can get all kinds of info, straight from the source

FYI . Mass. started car titles in Sept. 1972 anything before that was just a bill of sale.
