A BIG THANK YOU going out to NCRS Historic Document Services!!
I was in the same boat as many of you. Having no documentation whatsoever on my 1967 convertible ordering the "Shipping Data Report" NCRS offered was a nobrainer for me. God only knows I had spent $40 "boo-coo" times in the past with a worst odds of getting anything in return!!

Thanks to the NCRS what I now have is:
GM official Production Date: 12/29/66
Original delivery dealer was Dealer code 544 in zone 1
Name and address of Dealer was:
Summerfield Chevrolet
Flint, Mi
Although I had no documentation what I did know prior to this was the first known owner of my 67 was John Zelenko from Flint who got the car somewhere in the 1972-73 time frame. John owned and operated "Corvette Collision by DJ" in Flint and yes by the name it wouldn't be the place you would like for your Corvette to have to visit. Apparently around 72-73 a young man brought the car in to John's shop with some passenger side damage. By the time the repairs were made the young man either moved onto something else or didn't have the money to get the car "out of hock" so John bought it from him. I have spoken with John and one of John's sons but neither could recall who the kid was so for the time being I am at a dead-end of going back any further. John has since retired and closed down shop although I have spoken to the people that now sell used cars at the address wjere John's shop was located and the girl mentioned John still stops by from time to time. Sometime during the 90's Tom Long, who owns a plumbing business in the Flint area bought the car. When I first spoke with Tom he told me of stories how he would stop by John's shop from time to time. He would show John a check with a "figure" on it and ask John if it would be enough to buy the 67 that day. According to Tom this went on for a number of years until finally one day John told him it was and he just bought a car!! From there Tom took the car to a friend of his, Gary Drago who runs Drago Corvette's in Flint. As a side note, last year several couples from our local Corvette club decided to head up to Corvette Crossroads Auto Show in Mackinaw City, Michigan. The highlight of the show for me personally was finding and talking to Gary, after all I had no idea he would be at the show. He and I talked for quite awhile about the 67 as he said he remembered it well. He told me he had done quite abit of work on the car to get it road ready and I must say from driving it he did it right.
One of the items I have brought up here on the forum before and tried to get some more info on is a green parking lot sticker that was on the lower driver's side of the windshield. The sticker as you can see below has "AC ENG LOT" plus the letter's "shor" on it. I'm thinking maybe the "shor" could possible be the last name or start of a last name of one of the owner's but I may be grasping at straws here. I had corresponded with a couple other NCRS members, Don Griffin and Art Armstrong, here on the forum. Both of them had some ties to the AC Engineering plant in Flint where I believe, from the sticker, one of the previous owners may have worked. This is one reason the Shipping Data Report is important to me, as it reinforces the 67 started out in that area.
ANY suggestions on where/who/how to go from here is GREATLY appreciated. As I mentioned the report is the ONLY documentation I have about the car. Unfortunately when I pulled the tank the tank sticker was long gone. I realize just as many of you do the odds of finding anything are slim to none but how many of us ever thought the Shipping Data Reports would ever be found or made available to us, SO THERE STILL IS A SLIVER OF HOPE!! Take care and Thanks again to the NCRS, Shooter
