My April 2nd built 75 was purchased new by a Larry Wimberg in Atlantic City NJ. It went to a Jamie Somers as second owner and then on to Bill DeCicco before I purchased as the 4th owner. Decicco told me it was purchased from Kerbeck's but I have since been told they were not a Chevy Dealersip at that time. Kerbeck's said it may have been Tom Coggins Chevrolet. I can't locate the first or second owners and I'm looking for my original dealership. Any help??

Re: Atlantic City NJ Before Kerbecks
Hi Alger,
While I have lived in New Jersey all my life I would think the info. on Kerbeck not being around in 1970's is correct. But I can't think who the Chevy Dealer was around that area before Kerbeck - but I would think that Atlantic City is such a old Jersey town with a rich history, I would try to contact some kind of Historical Soc.,library, local newspaper, etc. and hope to get somes leads you could follow to the old Chevy Dealer. Too bad that Atlantic City is more noted for Mayors who go to jail. Good Luck.- Top

I did get quite a shock recently however. I was tracking down a lead to San Diego, California. I sent an email to the central lbrary requesting a directory listing for a dealership in the 1950s/1960s.
I got a reply back saying that they had the information I needed, but I would have to send a money order or bank cashier's check for $10.00 to get a photocopy of the single page out of the old directory. They stated they would send the copy within 10 days, after the money order cleared their account.
I went out, purchased, and mailed the requested M/O. Ten days later I received a barely legible photo copy ....of the wrong dealership.
I suppose the $20.7 billion dollar budget deficit has brought the chickens home to roost, in the great state of California.
