Delaware DMV

I just received my title search back from the Delaware DMV . . . No active records found in the data base. Come to find out that their records only go back to 1981. I hope that piece of information might help someone else.

Clearly, my car was out of Delaware sometime between 1966 and 1980. On to the next clue.

Hi Rob,

I was thinking of contacting Delaware DMV. My 1966 roadster was owned by a gentleman in Delaware from about 1989 to 1998. He informed me that he purchased the car in Pennsylvania in 1989. I wonder if Delaware would still have the title he surrendered to them from Pennsylvania when he first registered back in 1989. Who did you contact at the Delaware DMV for this information??

Complete the form correctly and send them your money - you might get lucky. On my Ohio search, it showed the car came from West Virginia before finding it's way into Ohio. One lead at a time.
