Re: Friendly Chevrolet in Dallas, TX.
Matthew, Friendly Chevrolet is a premier Dallas Chevy dealer and has been for years. At one time they were the largest parts distributor in north Texas until their warehouse burned down in the early 90's. Asked several Dallas natives for another member about another dealer and they don't have any Corvette dealer memories. Most of us were Nam era veterans. Gary....NCRS Texas Chapter

Re: Friendly Chevrolet in Dallas, TX.
Matthew - I can't answer your question directly, but here is the email address for the Dallas Public Library. Texas@dallaslibrary.org You can email a request for information contained in the History/Archive section. You might ask for any newspaper articles pertaining to the dealership. I contacted them for information regarding another Dealership (I think I am the person Gary mentioned in his response to you) and they were most helpful. The charges can be paid by credit card and are very reasonable. Good luck. John- Top

Re: Friendly Chevrolet in Dallas, TX.
Matthew, I was a telephone repairman in Dallas for 12 years and Friendly was one of my customers (71-80) . They were? located on Lemmon Ave on the west end out close to Love Field. Always had a huge inventory of VETTES, new and used. I rebuilt my '65 coupe L76 including new cam for about $150 with parts from Friendly. (around 1976)
