I grew up in South River, N.J. and Laffin Chevrolet, dealer#191,zone35, was located at Main & Water Streets, South River, N.J. 08882. Laffin Chevrolet "Closed-Up" in 2009, but in 1986 Laffin Chevrolet produced a phamphlet celebrating 57+ years as a Chevrolet Dealership. "Stop Crying, Start Laffin!" I bought a new Monte Carlo from them in '71. Also remember the causeway would overflow and flood them periodically.

I lived in Sayreville just across the river from Laffin Chevrolet and South River. Bought a 1966 Impala SS from Laffin. I remember going to Laffin and a lot of other new car dealers every September to see the new cars coming out of Detroit. Armstrong Pontiac was right down the street from Laffin and a great place to see new cars.
