Just received my shipping report. My '65 was delivered to Dick Fencl Chevy in Oak Park, IL. on 7-30-65. Anyone have any history, information or memorabilia on this dealer? I know it closed in '69 and became Fencl-Tufo Chevy. Thanks

Very nice research Terry. I know some of those characters mentioned in the supercar thread. From Brigance -- Gary & Frank (RIP). Gary doesn't do much Internet, but I will send his wife, Pam, a link to that thread.

Some have said this Corvette hobby is a really small world, and they are right.

I just received my letter and my 62 was also delivered to Fencl-Bogan in Oak Park. Too bad their not still around since I was hoping for a thread of hope for information in the history search.

Hi Eric, Dick Fencl and Bogan Fencl turned into Fencl tufo. I spoke with h an employee and they said the records were probably destroyed after 10 years. Larry

Just got my shipping report and my 1968 L71 sold new there too. Jeff, is 6/26 the date on your tag or the date sold?

Has anyone been able to locate any further information or done any research into the individual contacts?

I am told Mr. Piemonte is still operating in the area?

he passed on to his Lord a number of years ago

Try the local library, newspapers generally furnish micro film to them on a monthly basis; also try local BBB, etc. - don't turn down any source that you may be given
