as per the shipping delivery info, my vette was delivered to carl campbell chevrolet in duncan, oklahoma. duncan is between oklahoma city and wichita falls, tx

it has a build date of may 27, 1970. bridgehampton blue body/brite blue interior, convertible w/lt-1 engine.

the last known us title i have, dated 1987, is from san fernando, ca. i tried to contact the title holder a few years ago but didn't get anywhere. i always assumed that the vette was a californian car but now i know it isn't.

maybe someone can fill in some of the gaps?

i tried the dealer codes on the ncrs site and an internet search for carl campbell but nothing came up.

Stephens County - Obituaries

CAMPBELL, Carl Thomas, born Feb. 28 1916 in Randlett, TX to L. O. and Bessie Doss Campbell, died March 9 1999 at his home in Duncan. He married Mary "Babe" Alexander on Sept. 15 1946 in Burkburnett TX. After her death on March 18 1989, he married Evelyn Walker on April 15 1991. He served in the Second World War in the U.S. Army in the Burma heater, being discharged as a captain. He was a member of the BPOE, a charter member of the Elks Golf and Country Club, a 32nd degree Mason, a member of the India Shrine in Oklahoma City and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Duncan. He owned and operated Campbell Auto Supply in Burkburnett TX until moving to Marlow in 1956 where he owned Carl Campbell Chevrolet Co. He purchased the Cheverolet dealership in Duncan in 1961 and operated it until his retirement in 1983. Funeral services were held in the First United Church with Rev. Elton Moelling officiating. Burial was in Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Duncan under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home.

mr. richardson was employed at carl campbell chevrolet, halliburton and battison automotive. unfortunately he passed away in 2000.
it also says distinctly that he loved cars!

there is one chevy dealer, battison auto (est 1983) in duncan, ok. it's possible that it took over carl campbell chevrolet when mr. campbell retired in 1983. i'll have to get in touch with battison auto.
