My car came from Allen Green Chevrolet (Zone 42, Dealer 204) in Seattle, Washington in early January 1968. Is there any way to get information on who they sold my original Corvette to since they are no longer in business? I came to a road block with the second owner. Thanks for your expertise. Bill

Bill
I used to live in the Seattle area and moved to Oregon 3 years ago. Back several years ago I tried to verify who the original owner of my car was, as my 68 coupe is licensed in Washington State (still is). I was able to track it back to 1972 with the Washington Dept. of Transporation, however at that time (about 6 years ago) they said their records only went back to 1972. I don't know if anything has changed and they have gone back to update their records.
Alan Green Chevrolet was located at 14400 First Ave South, Seattle, Wash. It was the primary performance dealer in the Seattle area as they were a big sponsor of racing (they raced a Cheetah as well as Corvettes). The dealership that is still at this same location is called Burien Chevrolet.
Hope this info helps a little.

Thanks, Mark. Did you just call the DMV? Thanks for your insights. BillBill Hyndman

No, I had a business friend who knew someone that had special access to the Dept. of Transportation and pulled some strings. I don't know what they would do if you called them up. I'd look at their web site first.

Re: Allen Green (Zone 42, Dealer 204)
I live in Burien, I have crawled over every inch of the dealership looking for Alan Green memorabilia, but there is none, just a couple of license frames. There has been 3 owners since Green, it is pretty well cleared out. They were very involved in racing back in the 60's and sponsored the Corvette Marque Club of Seattle. Their main high performance man is still around, tuning FI's and dual quad cars. He tuned my 65 FI back then and still does. Washington used to run owner histories, but doesn't any more. Send me a private message and I will get his number to you.
