Bill Allen Chevrolet N KC MO circa 1970

Anyone have any info on this dealer? My 67 was traded for a new 1970 Monte Carlo Oct. of 1970. The original owner told me he left the car at the dealership with all glovebox items included along with all records and maint. receipts since new. Needless to say that was the end of the maint. records, however the second owner does not remember receiving a Protectoplate booklet. I continue my search for it.

I was told by a old dealer salesman & a used car lot dealer that when a used car came in it was cleaned out of all the things in the glove box & everywhere else. One guy said they had a 55 Ga drum full of POP'S etc that they threw away. The reason was giving was that they didn't want the new owner to call the original one to find the true history of the car. Bumps, true mi. & other problems. I ask because I like most others looked at the things in the glove box once & left it there & that's why I ask.
It dose seem so sad now.

        Tom,

I tried to locate my delears address by searching the online corp records (inactive) for Nebraska - nothing shows up

Would I conclude from that the the bsuiness was a sole proprietorship or some form of unincorporated partnership structure?

Are there other databases that one might tap?

        Thanks

They advertised heavily on the radio in that era. I would drive by KC enroute from St. Louis to Nebraska, and would hear them. Their radio "trademark" was "Bill Bill Allen Allen Chevrolet".

              Brian..

I remember the Chevrolet dealership as I lived in Overland Park, Kansas and worked in North Kansas City at a Standard Oil Service Station on Amour Blvd. just down the street. It's been awhile and I don't have any infomation on the dealership other than I purchased a 1978 Camaro Z28 new from them.

Yes they were pretty big and sold a lot of Chevys. I am going to send you a PM.

Just got my papers in and found out that my new-to-me 70 LS-5 was delivered to Bill Allen Chevy in KC. The search starts for the first owner!
