    John Geer Chevrolet, Sacramento, CA

    Well, I received my shipper report as well today. Anyone ever heard of this dealership? Doesn't seem like they are in business anymore. I did find a post on a Camaro website that a speacial order 427 1967 Camaro was ordered out of the same dealership, so maybe it was a hot place to buy a hot car???? Who knows.....I will post any info I find out on this dealership, but figured I would ask if anyone knew this dealership.

    Also, anyone know if California does title searches to tell me who the original title-holder was on my California car? I am not sure if they do that. Thanks in advance.....

      ARA, you will note on my PM I sent you that the official name for the business was John Geer Motor Co. So when you are searching for info, you might watch searching John Geer Chevrolet. My searches in CA came up empty there but got you the info I PM'd using John Geer Motor Co.

      Just a tip to help you find more clues ! Never give up !

              Ara,

              You might want to try contacting the posters on this thread from the Camaro Forum for more specifics. John Geer was a big deal back in the day in Sacramento and the Valley. Found this in a search for John Geer Chevrolet. Good Luck.

                  My 67 came from there as well. I believe my original owner said they had a couple of locations and were known for carrying a lot of Corvettes

                      Thanks to all that have replied. I have found a couple of different addresses for John Geer Chevrolet. All in California, and I have also read that he was big into Corvettes. I found a gentleman on another forum that met 2 former employees from the dealership who are still living in California. I am trying to get their contact info. When I do, I will post what I find out on this board. I also think the dealer was big into trucks as well..Thanks to all for the replies, I will update this thread with any new info I find so keep checking back....ARA
