Last week I got my shipping info and was bummed because it gave a zone and dealer number but no dealer name or city. Today I got a follow-up letter. NCRS went back to GM & GM found some additional info so now I have the Zone (3), Dealer #(563) and know the dealer was Modern Auto Co., Washington, DC.
To Roy Sinor and NCRS, my thanks! To everyone else who got incomplete info, take heart. I was surprised and pleased that NCRS that quickly went to work to get additional info on my car.
Now, if any one has ever heard of Modern Auto Co. please let me know; doesn't sound like a high volume chevy store.
It is ironic- in 1968 I was at the Army Engineer School in Ft. Belvoir VA. I had a 60 Corvette, got my orders to go overseas, couldn't find a way to store the car and had to sell it to a dealer in Washington, DC. Bye the Bye, If anyone has a 1960 Corvette, hardtop only, base motor, 3 spd, Honduras Maroon give me a call. I have no documentation but think I could identify the car.
Again, thanks to NCRS
