After a long time searching for the identity of dealer 317 in Zone 29 as listed on my 67 Order Copy, I have finally discovered its identity was Haleyis, Inc. in Nebraska City, NE. Extensive hunting on the web has turned up no evidence of this store. Does anyone have information or recall Haleyis, Inc?

You might try these guys. They are a current dealer in Nebraska City, are car guys and have been there for quite a while. They might have some good information for you.

Re: Haleyis, Inc., Nebraska City NE
Nick,
Too bad you wern't asking this question back in September of 2007. Larson Motors closed one of it's dealer ships here in Nebraska City, as I remember it was there Dodge/Chysler dealership. They had a huge auction which included loaded of used and NOS Chevrolet parts, manuals, mechanics specialty tools and equipment, etc. There were filing cabinet after filing cabinet of records that were being disposed of. The owner Harry Larson who was/is a Corvette fan sold around 6 midyear Corvettes at that same auction along with loads of used Corvette parts. I bought a 1967 soft top for $500 which cleaned up well enough that it could be reused as is, original rear window and all. I'd try to contact Harry Larson and see if they kept any of the records when they aquired the GM line of cars. You never know until you try.
Best Regards,

Re: Haleyis, Inc., Nebraska City NE
Greg and James,
Thanks for the replies and lead on Larson Motors. The thought that documentation on my car MAY have survived until 2007 is staggering. I wonder if 'Haley's' or 'Haleyis' was somehow absorbed into Larson or another dealership. I've thought of contacting the Nebraska City Chamber of Commerce. Knowing now that Harry Larson is a Corvette enthusiast, he would probably be my best source to start. James, would you mind contacting him on my behalf, or sending me his email so I can make contact? The car is 67 convertible #4464. Thank you!- Top

Larson Motors phone number 877-538-4485, I'd call and ask to speak with Harry Larson or his son Lars. I don't have an email address for him.

Re: Haleyis, Inc., Nebraska City NE
Greg or James.
I'm wondering if you might be able to suggest a knowledgable corvette enthusiast in NE Nebraska Area?
I've been trying unsuccessfully for the past week to locate some history on my car's dealer, Phil Boardman Chevrolet in Oakland. I have been searching online newspaper archives, online corporate records, etc. with not a single trace of info on the dealership.
I was thinking I might call the Oakland town newspaper, or blindly contact someone from one of the corvette clubs in the NE nebraska area.

Re: Haleyis, Inc., Nebraska City NE
I received a very thoughtful letter from Lars Larson of Larson Motors in response to my inquiry about this dealer. His family has owned dealerships in Nebraska City since about 1986. Haley's Inc., where my car was sold new, was already defunct by then but according to Lars the Building is still there in downtown Nebraska City where the dealership once existed. He was also kind enough to provide me the names of two salesmen who worked at Haley's previously, and the service manager as well. Been busy with work and have not had time to chase it further, but will report on what I find.- Top

Re: Haleyis, Inc., Nebraska City NE
Eugene, I owned the Corvette #4464, prior to Nick who posted the questions in this thread. It is a Goodwood green, Blk standard interior , 4 speed, side pipe , rally wheels, redline tire, L36 390 as tank sticker states. I am sure there were several Goodwood green cars delivered through the dealership, being the most common color ordered. Any info would be of interest. Neither Nick nor I currently own this Corvette, but a friend does.
thanks Jim- Top
