Is your original dealer still around. Here's how to tell.

Seen lots of posts looking to see if a dealer is still around. As you know, many are no longer in business. If you have the zip code of your original dealer you can plug it into the "Find A Dealer" section of www.chevy.com Even if your dealer is no longer there, you will be able to see if a dealer still exists in the town. Let the search begin !! Just a quick tip to help solve some long lost mysteries !

Another little trick I have used to find info on the old dealers is to contact the local library in the town. Have them search old newspaper ads from the time frame your car was there. Your car might even show up in an ad !!!!

Here's an ad I had the library in Fairhope, Alabama sent me. Didn't charge me a dime. This is where my 63 came from. Kind of neat.

Tom, is there a way to just plug in the dealer no. and zone no. to find out the dealers name. or do you know of a site that list dealers zones and codes? Thanks Ed.

You can use our own dealer and zone data base right here to search. Is that what you mean ??? If the dealer is known or has been reported, it will be included here. If you know a dealer code, you can enter it here to assist others as well.

                  Hi Mr. Hendricks,
Wondering if you have any info re: zone 14-dealer 324 - for my 69 vette - the NCRS database says it should have come from Coastal Chevrolet and they were not in business back then, they said they couldn't find any dealers that begin with letter "L" - just wondering if you had any suggestions. Thanks for your time.
