Got my shipping data report today and found out that the dealership my 65 was delivered to was Dworin Chevrolet East Hartford Connecticut. Does anyone know anything about the area or may have been around that area in 1965?

I think the correct spelling is Dworkin, the family still owns many different dealerships in the Hartford area and across CT.

Theres a Dworkin chevrolet also not the same dealership. The Dworin dealer is no longer in business. I was confused as well!!

I have lived in the greater Hartford, Ct area since 1967. A Chevrolet dealership under a different name (and I believe a different owner) still resides at this address. The dealership is located just across the Connecticut river bridge from Hartford and was/is one of several large Chevrolet only dealerships in this area. Since this dealership was owned by Dworin, it has changed hands and names 2 or 3 times. There are a lot of Corvettes in this area, of all vintages, and being such a large dealership I presume they sold quite a few Corvettes each year. Apparently from reading other posts on this general subject, it appears unlikely that they would have any records going back to the 1960's especially given the fact that the ownership has changed hands several times since but one never knows. The current owner of this facility is Gengras Motors telephone 860-289-0246;the address remains 460 Connecticut Blvd, East Hartford, Ct. Hope this helps.

I can't help you with current information on Dworin Chevrolet, but I can tell you I spent a bunch of money in their parts department in the 60's and 70's. It was a great delaership, very good parts department.

Gengras is huge in Ct, and owns many dealerships, I wasn't aware they had aquired Dworin. I think Skip Gengras is a car guy, so you may get lucky with old records.
Good luck with your search, I am still waiting for the shipping data for my 1965.
