Can someone shed some light on my SDR? I get the reference to MI/OH but the reference to no data begins with D? What does this mean? A brief letter of explanation would had been nice.

Next option would be to send a message to Bob Demmel and ask him. He is in the members list here.Terry- Top

Re: Shipping Data Report
D was the first letter of the dealership name. The surviving records listing all dealerships are not complete.
My report first came back 'starts with J'. I have since supplied Bob with additional documentation and a new shipper was issued showing Jacks Auto Sales of Colechester, CT.- Top

Re: Shipping Data Report
Lawrence
Based on the information we have from GM, the list of dealers they provided is from a later time period and your dealer had gone out of business or had changed names. If you can find some additional information which would shed some light on who the dealer might be, we could update our information. In Tom,s case he had a validated tank sticker and original window sticker and sales contract. You might try searching the historical records or newspapers for ads that can help find the name.

Re: Shipping Data Report
Lawrence,
NCRS maintains a "volunteer input" Dealer Code database. https://www.ncrs.org/services/dealer-code-data.php
Dealer 108 Zone 44 = Floyd Dugan Chevrolet Inc. - no City, State or date
Hopefully, that info will start you on your search for more information on the dealer.

Re: Shipping Data Report
Bob,
Being this is a late 69 VIN made me wonder if anything had changed on the availability of those late 69 and early 70's where the microfiche wasn't readable? Years ago I was told they couldn't read anything for my November built 69 and I'm still struggling to find it's heritage.
Any update?
Thanks!

Re: Shipping Data Report
Lawrence,
That is the area in which PROTEAM is located. They may know of some more local chevrolet Dealerships...
I would also post something on the local craigs list of that area asking about the car and or the local dealerships of the 69-70 era.James A Groome

Re: Shipping Data Report
Hi Terry- Interesting- I ordered my 69,so I know the name and address of my selling dealer (Brinkman Chev; Madison Ks.) It is a kind of early car (307xx) Wonder if my info. is also missing? Guess I should try to get a SDR for this car out of curiosity. I blame the strike for a lot of these 69 and 70 questions. BTW-Did you send off for your "owner's" packet? My 69 packet came with a couple issues of Corvette News, a plastic ID card with my name and car ser.# on it, and a "congratulatory" letter from Chevrolet Motor Division, signed by none other than John Z Delorean. Was that the same for your 70?
E.J.
Edit:meant to say "kind of a Late" car-SorryLast edited by E S.; November 4, 2020, 07:42 PM.- Top
