Looking for info / H&B Chevrolet PA, of my 1965 Corvette

V.I.N. 194375S107939 I have the NCRS shipping data form showing it sold new at H&B Chevrolet in PA. The car was traded in at Thompson Ford in Corning, N.Y. around 1973 by a doctor (original owner?) Then sold to Glenn Beckman in Corning N.Y. He sold it to Terry R. Casbeer 2038 Ellison Rd. Corning N.Y. 13048. The car was registered in his name when I bought it. I have spoken to him on the phone and he said he believed the Dr's. name is Guiterrez (correct spelling unknown) I believe that the doctor who traded the car in to the Ford dealer was the original owner but don't know for certain. If anyone has any info about this car please contact me.

NYSDMV no longer provides any owner information as they did in the past.

The privacy laws in most states don't allow this information to be released by government agencies unless you meet certain requirements, fill out forms in triplicate, sell your firstborn, etc... Your pretty lucky to have all the info you have. I have only been able to go back 2 owners into the late 90's for the ownership history of my '69. The trail dies there.

Every state has a public licensing board that is searchable on the internet . Knowing the area and his name you might be able to learn his identity using their website. A young doctor in 1963 would be an old timer today.

I recommend a classified ad in the DRIVELINE. Why? I think only a fraction of the members look at this discussion, AND most don't open every discussion topic. Over the years, I've ran a few like yours, and actually got a call from a non-member. A friend/member told him about my most recent information wanted ad.

I have also put my basic question (about a woman owner in Rochester, NY) on the NCRS.ORG On Line Classifieds. It is running now. There you will see a number of members who have looked at your ad. Bottom line: I think more would read it in the DRIVELINE.

I contacted the Southeast Steuben County Library in Corning NY. The reference dep't has 2 1973 business directories. No listing for any Dr. Gutierrez or any Dr. That begins with Gut or Guit in 1973 in Corning. If you get additional information call the reference dep't at below:
