Re: Looking for dealer on 1972 coupe
I agree with Paul. Dealer 571 is Joe Sparks Chevrolet, in Marked Tree Arkansas. No 17-568 on the dealer list from the late 70's. Try looking at the build sheet again to verify 17-568. Do you have any reason to believe the car was NOT delivered to a dealer in Arkansas? Also, Mississippi dealers were mixed in with Arkansas dealers and Tennessee dealers with dealer codes 17-551 WATSON CHEVROLET(Ms.) through 17-574 SEAY CHEVROLET (Tn.).
Note that INFREQUENTLY not, but most certainly dealers were PRIMARY alphabetically listed in order by zn/dealer, they can also be sorted by districts which align by financial accounting centers which sometimes cross over to other states and creates dealer names to be out of alphabetical order.
Hope that helps. Good luck!- Top

Re: Looking for dealer on 1972 coupe
looked again at my build sheet and it states zone 17 dealer 568. I have even sent a letter to the state of Tn asking questions and of course they refused to give any. Thanks for the reply, really. This is a strange car, ordered with air,T/T, power steering, brakes, black custom interior, but radio delete..hmmmm, which the delete cover are kinda expensive.- Top

Steve:
Did you try requesting an NCRS report for your car yet that would include the Dealer information? You can also try Al Grenning, send him the zone and code and see if he has the information in his database.

My build sheets came off the org gas tank and behind the dash board, but any help here would be great. How do you do this? Thanks for the reply- Top

Re: Looking for dealer on 1972 coupe
Steve, if your question is how to order a Document Validation, this is the procedure. Select HIstoric Document Services from the drop down list. Then go to Document Validation Services and follow the instructions. You will need a scan of the document to include with the order. This service will confirm that your document is original.- Top
