Dealer information - LA Zone Office ?

I just received my shipping data letter for the 1964 roadster.

The information states that the Dealer code 0, Zone 20.
Name and location of dealer is Chevrolet Zone office, Los Angeles.

This doesn't appear to be a Dealer. Does anyone know what this means?

Richard, this means the car was ordered by Chevrolet to be sent to the zone office in LA. The purpose for this order is unknown but it could have been for a GM executive(s) to use, for car show purposes, for special testing at a GM facility in CA or some other special purpose. More than likely is was subsequently sold as a used car from one of the dealers in zone 20.

Richard, for the record my 1966 A I R ,A/C,P G ,P W ,coup was also sent to the L A zone office,possibly a brass hat for one office exec,?/
