Bridges-Calvert Chev. Warrior Alabama. License plate frame?

Hi friends, I'm still gathering what data I can find on our undocumented '66 we recently purchased and at least found out through NCRS that it was built 11-11-65 and shipped to a dealership named Bridges-Calvert Chevrolet in Warrior, Alabama. I've researched that and learned that it was sold at least ten years ago, renamed and moved about ten miles to a neighboring town. I have been in contact with that dealership inquiring about old sales records and was told (two weeks ago) that they'd check and get back to me. No return call as of today so I'll be calling them back tomorrow. My question is this: I'm attempting the impossible here and asking my fellow NCRS buddies, especially the ones living down South if anyone might have or know of a license plate frame I might purchase from that dealership. I realize this is the epitome of the "needle in a haystack" situation but one never knows until one asks, right? Does anyone reproduce dealer specific license plate frames?

    Thanks, Doug

Are you sure that that dealership offered a frame. Back in the day many installed a sticker or worse yet a metal tag that had to install with holes drilled in the body.

      Hi Gene,

No, I'm not actually sure there was a lic. plate frame offered by that dealership so that's a very good question. As I indicated, I'm going to call the new dealership again tomorrow and perhaps I can find someone old enough to know the answer to that. I asked the lady I talked to a couple of weeks ago about it and she didn't know "but would ask". I know other dealerships around the country did put their dealer frames on cars of that vintage because I've seen them at shows but whether or not this particular dealer did, I just don't know. More or less hoping someone will read my post that's from that area and been around long enough to know I guess. Just fishing for now. Thanks for your response. Doug
