    Arizona Titles?

I have two sets of data here that seems to conflict, so I am hoping someone here can help with a question about Arizona titles. Here is the potential conflict. The NCRS shipments search was inconclusive, but my understanding is that the microfilm might indicate my car was delivered to a dealership in Lafayette LA after the build date of September 1963. However, I have a copy of an early Arizona title for the car indicating first registration date of January 1964. Here are the potential scenarios: the car was delivered to Louisianna and then transferred to a dealer in Arizona before it sold, or the notation "first registered" on the Arizona title does not necessarily mean registered in Arizona, or the microfilm is wrong or misread.

Hoping someone here has some insight, or maybe someone from Arizona can clarify the titling process. My calls to the AZ DMV were not especially helpful.

don't see any conflict - "appears" car was perhaps delivered to a LA dealer and then a dealer trade happened before the car was officially sold to the public and thus the car was FIRST registered and titled in Arizona. Happens every day still today.

Ray, be KIND.,!! I contacted Maryland, Pennsylvania, and NY. To get my history.
ALL the states want CA$H, so when you get someone on the phone, just tell them
that you OWN, ( I had to get forms notarized, and send a copy of my lisc. ) the car
and you are trying to trace the history so you will "pay anything"
it actually worked. MD was $12, PA was $35 and I'm waiting for NY total

You got lucky as MANY states do NOT release any information any more because of privacy concerns. And, if they do release information many only go back 10 years.

Go figure, THEY BOTH said on the phone that the max number, ( 10yrs. Prior ) is it, BUT send in my info.
and they would see what they could find.
Hey sometimes a phone call ( or another until you get someone that sounds normal) is all it takes
