Looking for information on Nankivell Chevrolet

I have a 1972 LT1 that was sold by Nankivell Chevrolet according to the NCRS shipping data report. I know that Huebler Chevrolet had bought Nankivell back in the late 70's early 80's.
I am trying to locate any paperwork or records that Nankivell may have had.
Is there anyone out there that can direct me in the right direction.
I have called Huebler, but cannot seem to find someone that can help.

Does anyone know who might have bought a 1972 Warbonnet Yellow LT1 coupe from Nankivell Chevrolet ? The car was built in June of 1972 so sometime after that.
Your help will be appreciated.

Jim Nankivell opened in 1963 after selling his Oldsmobile dealership and around 1971 the name was changed to Hubler Chevrolet (Frank Hubler was Jim Nankivell's accountant and brother in law and bought the company when Jim retired). The original location was Zone # 25, Dealer Code # 373, 3800 South East Street, Indianapolis Indiana 46227. Hubler relocated to a new building in 1987 at its current location, 8220 S. U.S. 31 in Greenwood.

There was another Nankivell dealership in Shelbyville, IN that was run by brother Morgan Nankivell and it is now a Firestone tire shop.

Besides Yenko cars Nankivell delivered lots of Performance and Copo cars too including 1 or more ZL1's!.

Very interesting. I have a 1972 Corvette LT1 that was sold there. I was hoping that someone might have had some paperwork on the High Performance cars that they sold.
I have talked to people at the current building and no one knows of any paperwork from back in the day.
It would also be nice to find the person who bought my car originally.

My 1969 Corvette also sold at Nankivell in Indianapolis . I know they were known for high performance cars and donated cars for the Indy 500. My car was a 1969 427 Corvette 4spd, Cortez silver, Gunmetal grey interior convertible. I have been looking for the original owner, past dealership employees, or anyone from that area they may remember my car. I have been searching for a while without much luck.

I guess that we are all have the same problem. I have called the current dealership which is now Huebler Chevrolet and no one has knowledge of any information, paperwork, etc. of the cars that were sold at Nankivell. What a shame not to have all of that documentation.
My only hope now is to try to find the original purchaser of my Warbonnett Yellow 1972 Corvette LT1.

I have not found out anymore history on the dealership or my car. I cannot even find any pictures of the dealership.

Hi Matthew I've pasted a link below to the Yenko site, with a specific thread regarding Nankivell. Marlin (Yenko Deuce Registry)is the closest I've found to a Nankivell Chevrolet historian. There pics of ads, license frames and quite a bit about the dealership.
