Does anyone have any information or pictures of: Pierce Chevrolet Inc. Pawtucket, RI? My Shipping Data Report came back with Dealer Code:380; Zone:2 with a production date of: 5/4/1965. That is the correct address for Pierce after 1975. They built a new dealership there in 1975 or 1976. I was a young project manager for the construction company that built the new dealership and when it opened it was quite a facility. Prior to that they were located in an older facility near the center of Pawtucket. Ray Washburn was the General Manager and Robert Pierce Jr. was the owner. I believe he was the second or third generation of Pierce's. I bought a new 1975 coupe from them after the new dealership opened. Sadly they went out of business sometime after 2000(not sure what year) the dealership was demolished 5 or 10 years ago.

Thank you for the information on Pierce Chevrolet. I found Pierce Buick Company 501 Main Street, Pawtucket, RI and they were opened from 1961-1979 but I couldn't find Pierce Chevrolet. Your information helped by giving me the names of the owner and General Manager. Thanks again!!

Now that you mention it I remember they were a Buick dealer as well. As I remember The dealership we built in 1975 had two sides. One for Chevrolet and one for Buick. I can remember Bob Pierce Jr. driving up in his Buick with a big cigar. Ray Washburn went to a dealership in Franklin, Ma. after Pierce closed. Don't remember the name of it but maybe Google can help.
