At one time, V V Cooke was the premier place to buy your new Corvette or high performance car in the area. They sold way more Corvettes than their allottment through dealer trades. V V sponsored sporty type(SCCA?) race cars. His driver, Alan Barker was National Champion a few years. He also sponsored a very fast circle track car that won local championships and in addition, had two of the best FI mechanics around.

It was a neat place to stick your wet nose against the showroom window at one time.

Jim Mayden was the Body Shop Manager for V V. When the dealership closed around 1980, give or take, Jim bought the building(s) and property. He still runs his body repair business in there today.
