Repro 67 Idler Arm - Pics

Just wanted to post these so everyone could see the reproduction 67 idler arm with part number stamps. It looks real good to me when compared next to the original that I installed on the car. Color off a bit with the repro arm being more dark gray. What do you think?

Looks nice but you will be able to pick this out from a real one. Here are some pics of a original. The pt#'s are correct nut look different, the top of the arm that mounts to the frame does not have the Shear mark like the original. The top of the stud retainer has a different shape, the bottom of the arm retainer has a B, the bottom of the stud has BN stamped several times (these last 2 are not on all but many) I could go on but you get the jist. I am not knocking the part and am actually quite glad someone finally is making one!!! I will just be easy to spot on the judging field.

No doubt it will not pass judging, but at least it is closer than previous attempts. I would assume a point deduction.

Also take a look at "Idler Arm on Steering linkage restoration" lots of good information you may need.
Have attached my original 64 idler arm, note no logo on upright to frame or bottom of flat cover & my bolt bottom has a "T"

The forging number can be followed by nothing, "A" or "B" which does not denote power steering v non, (error in JG) The forging # is 3779185 and should appear on the arm. Later the 1982 production idler arm, GM #14053350, was used as the service replacement. I have not seen one of these so have no idea what the forging # should be. It is my understanding that these were a repo item in the late past so some of those may be around still (on cars).
I do not know if multi vendors were used for the arm - Someone such as Joe Lucia will probably know.
        Mine shows a
"GMT" which is the GM Tonawanda forging plant where these arms were manufactured.
