Re: Encino Ca. Fletcheris Chev. 1967
Hi Tom,
I grew up very close to that dealer. They bece Terry York Chevrolet sometime in the seventies. The dealership is now gone. Fletcher Jones is still in business and selling Mercedes Benz in Orange County. Hope this helps.

Re: Encino Ca. Fletcher's Chev. 1967
As Joe Lucia posted in another thread re. another old time, and long gone LA area dealer, there were dozens of Chevrolet stores all over LA in the 60s, 70s, and 80s including many in the San Fernando Valley, of which Encino is a part. Literally every little community in the Valley from Reseda, Van Nuys, Canoga Park, Northridge, North Hollywood, Encino, Woodland Hills and on and on had its own Chevy store, and Ford and Plymouth/Dodge etc. Most of them are long gone or have been gobbled up by mega dealers. The chances of anyone from an old LA Chevy store remembering a particular car, or still having any old records has got to be nil. Occasionally those of us that still live here in the Valley will come across something from one of the old stores, like a license plate frame or something else, but even that happens very rarely. Good luck,
ps, yes when I was a kid in the Valley, every place you looked had an incinerator. It was a real smokey place,,,,,- Top
