Can anyone tell me if the cap shown in the attached photo is correct for a 1965 C-60 system? I have been told these are correct but would like some second opinions from you guys. -Clark

Re: A/C Scraeder Valve Caps
Those are indeed correct for the '65 units, the knurled flat-top items were later. There should be two of the on the manifold that mounts at the rear of the compressor, one pointing outboard to the pass side and the other pointing outboard to the drivers side.Bill Clupper #618- Top

Picture attached of original unrestored '65 car with original air fittings. Email me if you want a larger version as the one I have will have to be resized to fit his forum.Attached FilesBill Clupper #618- Top

Re: A/C Scraeder Valve Caps
The acorn caps on my 66' are on the scraeder valves (2) on the back of the compressor. Mine has the round one with the flat top and ridges on the STV valve, like the one shown in the picture above. All are brass.Gary Nyland

Re: A/C Scraeder Valve Caps
I believe that would be correct for the STV to have the knurled cap. Also note the configuration of the block on the back of the compressor, round at the outboards with a horizontal dip in the center.Bill Clupper #618- Top
