My hand brake warning light switch on my 61 is a bit worn and the switch shaft wobles around a bit. I was looking to buy a new one but they do not seem to be available. I did however find 63 hand brake warning light switches appear to be available. They look very similar. Is there reason the 63 switch won't work on a 61? Also, I don't think the 61 judging manual has any detail on the switch beyond the flashing light not flashing when the brake is released during operations check. Thanks for your comments!

Re: Hand Brake warning light switch
But, experienced judges know the shape/geometry of the factory original switches + how they were embossed with the supplier's ID marks. While this info may not be published in the Judging Guide, the book is only a 'guide' to supplement the judge's personal knowledge....- Top

Re: Hand Brake warning light switch
Right.......The judges will see the difference.
Richard, they are repairable. I had a similar issue on my 59. They can be taken apart by carefully prying the tabs, removing the inner parts, cleaning etc.
Even the early Tungsol flashers are repairable. I had a post in the archives how to do it. "Dated Flashers" or something like that......Rich- Top
