Hi all-Does anyone know where you can buy JUST the rubber bushings over the counter? (without paying $10 for a "kit", and another $10 shipping) Sorry for being so "cheap",but I do not need the nylon sleeves, or the metal piece. (These bushings look similar to me on my 62 as well as my 66- Should cover a lot of years-mine have split in two.)-Hope this is not too trivial-Thanks

The bushing is available from GM under GM #3794377. About a buck and a half, GM list.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: accelerator rod rubber bushings
My '63 has an original rubber bushing as confirmed by Robert Jorjorian. It's very rare as RJ called it a "geared bushing"
The outside of it is round of course. The inside of the bushing has many Teeth so to speak.'
The NOS ones or over the counter ones are incorrect. John D.- Top

John here it is for reference. From a very original '63 - Rich Yanulis's convertible.

Yes, the original PRODUCTION bushings were GM #3854399. These were never available from GM in SERVICE so an NOS example is an impossibility. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
