I love it! Here is one of my '64 fuelie tanker in 1968, just after it was recovered in Quincy, Massachusetts after being stolen and partially repainted to hide it.

here is my dad in 73 with his mom after buying his first Corvette. a 69 427/390 4 speed. he added the side pipes soon after he bought the car

No clue Richard because owners two or three times removed were in the car in the photo. I didn't own it or motorcycles back then.
But I agree with you. It was nice to fill my VW gas tank back then for about $3.
Just about one year later than the photo gas jumped to around 80 cents a gallon and we had the lines that Loren refers to.

Yes, the good old used car lot, where the used car salesman would take every filthy greenback in your wallet if you weren't careful!
Heres a couple shots of the chevy store I frequented back in the 70s in Reseda, CAL, Rancho Chevrolet. I couldn't afford the Marina Blue 427 then, and can't afford it now!

My new 1972 LT-1 roadster . . . Had a great time with this car, and I always loved the color combination (Elkhart Green/Dark Saddle). I now have a 2014 C7 Premiere Edition in Lime Rock Green/Brownstone - very similar.

That looks like my 67. when was this taken and where? I have owners back to 72 in the Sacremento-Lodi area.

Here is a photo of my 1963 taken in 1964/5 at a drag strip in PA. and like a lot of us, I wish I still had it
