This is another example of how this board does not work as well as the old one. I never got any email notifications that there was any thing else posted, so I never looked at it today! the old board would always tell you when their was a new post, well this one dosent.

It does if you check the "subscribe to this thread" box under "Additional Options" when you post the thread; you need to click on the "Go Advanced" box just below the typing window when you post in order to see the "Additional Options".

In the User Profile.....General Settings, there is a button to check for email notification in Messaging & Notification

Default Thread Subscription Mode:
Do not subscribe
Through my control panel only
Instantly, using email <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
Daily, using email
Weekly, using email


I think I had to reset mine after the upgrade.

You will get one notification until you revisit the thread. Then after you exit you'll get another if there are replies. At the bottom of the notification it usually reads:

"There may also be other replies, but you will not receive any more notifications until you visit the forum again."

Well something is wrong then, I have gotten tons of notifications from one post and I know I only posted on it once and only re visited it once, yet every time some one would post I would receive them. Then on this one I am the one that started the thread and it does not send me post, and yes the email nonfiction is on.

Only thing I can think of is that your subscription got shut off somehow. Or maybe your profile settings got screwed up with the change.

It may be best to create a new thread on the Help Forum, and reference this thread(link below) so they can see it in detail.
