At Carlisle this past August there was a company advertising body dollies. I would like any help finding them or a company that I can buy one from....I don't want to build my own because I'm never happy with the end result. I think mine do the job fine but I always feel like someone has come up with an easier, more clever setup. Any suggestions of who I can call would be great. JB

Re: C1 1961 Body Dolly Help Wanted....
Justin, attached are plans for a wooden C1 body dolly that's easy and cheap to construct. After you're through with it just unscrew all of the wood screws and take it apart. Two things not shown on the drawing. 1 - angle iron to support the rear, 2 - nose prop brace. The 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 inch angle iron is cut to go to the rear body mount bolt support. The nose brace is made of 2x4 or angle iron. Block of wood goes under the noise support then use a or tie stand to cinch up and secure the nose support up to the top body dolly board. Can be permanently secured with another 2x4 or angle iron. This design is from an old Restorer Article. For mid '57 to 62 with under rocker metal bracing you will have to make body dolly about 1/2 inch narrower to accommodate the bracing. Also, attached is a photo of an aluminum body dolly I saw somewhere or maybe someone posted on the TDB. Good luck, Gary....NCRS Texas Chapter
