1966 427 fan shroud - anyone know what they really look like?

Anyone around today hiding from the heat or basking it it too that knows what a 1966 fan shroud for 427 is supposed to look like?

See picture attached, RH fan blade area variation on what are supposed to be original 66 shrouds.

The top area at center I am seeing differences in the molded shape too.

Yes, due to technical difficulties, the picture is on this thread, see circled red areas, both are supposed to be 66, but notice big difference.

Wayne, trying again, having to make due w/o a photo editor this week, the top shroud shows a beveled off area. Shroud was to have been off a 66 like the bottom shroud which has a vertical wall in a sense. If you take the opening line as the same you can see the difference.

Looks like someone cut the lower one to clear the lower radiator hose and or the upper control arm for installation.

Is that for a 390 or 425 hp motor? My brother is the original owner of his '66 427/390 which is all original and Top Flight. I can send you a couple of pics of the engine compartment if you send me your email address. I also had a '66 427/425 and still have pics of mine.

Wayne - these are un touched parts, no cutting, other than the legs broke off.

While the AIM does not differentiate 425 vs. 390 HP, I would sure like to see the pics of the engine compartment, also build date may factor into this discussion, that will be helpful too.

I'll email you some scanned pics Ron. This is a benchmark '66 390 hp convertible, since my brother has owned it since new - July 1966. Engine compartment is all original with approx. 75k miles. Only the Laguna Blue paint was redone a few years ago. -Ken

not really, the area in question is on the right and down in - camera would need to be over valve cover to get a good shot.

Is the car close to you? Which picture I posted yesterday (top or bottom) is this cars' shroud closest too?

Ron, I have my shroud out of the car right now and can take some photos for you if you still need it. Mine is the original.

Ron, here are the photos. I think this is an original 66-427/425 shroud. Duke was kind enough to go through the car when I first got it, he thought it very original.
