    GF-90 Fuel Filter "Eeny, meeny, miny, moe"

    Let's dance on the head of a pin again boys.... I am currently going through some GF-90 hell for a 65. Been researching and ordering and have collected an expensive sampling of currenly available options...

    Options A (Paragon), B (Vette Prod. of Mi), and C (Long Island)

    Personal observations....
    1-Option A is longer which will make for a better fit.
    2-Options B and C have grooved nuts as specified in current 1965 TIMJG.
    3-Option B has an elongated circle around the AC.
    4-Option C is very glossy and has a markedly smaller font.

    Help...Care to comment??????

    Just to add some more;
    This was purchased in early 70's so its not a repro, but a service replacement.
    My understanding at least for a 64 car is that no groove should be seen. These are available from somebody (not sure who) Don't think a judge would hit you if it was a little long, but will get hit if grooved (on a 64 at least)

      Jim, I went through the same thing awhile back while having my car Regionally judged and found the ones that are sold on ebay for approx. $40 are the best ones. The fellow out of Maryland who sells these spent a tremendous amount of time and money developing these and as you can see from the pictures are dead balls accurate. Remember this is just my two cents worth.

      Cheers,
      Craig

        Craig...believe the Corv. Spec. of Maryland is same as item A pictured (Paragon).

        Seems the grooved nuts started to appear in 1965 and is specifically called out in the 1965 TIMJG.

          Jim, you could be right on the grooves. As for my 64 it was exactly what I needed. Good luck.
