67 Jack Storage Compartment Color
I believe that the storage area behind the seats (where the jack goes) should be painted the color of the interior. That is, if the car had a black interior it would be black, if it had a saddle interior it would be painted saddle and so on but I can't find any info that proves this. Does anyone agree? Thanks Al

Al,
Storage and jack wells are "color matched" to the carpet. The JG Interior section 12 (Rear Storage Area) should give you a good description. As for proof, look at unrestored cars. - Best proof there is.

Thank you, my original 67 coupe with saddle interior was painted saddle, But I've seen so many incorrect restorations that paint the jack compartment black, wanted to be sure I wasn't losing my mind - good to know that hasn't happen yet ! AlComment
