68-69 front bumper guards

I see these listed on eBay as 68-69 and 70-72. What's the difference? Are they interchangeable? Merry Christmas!

Roger,
There is a style difference between the two. The design of the '70 to '72 incorporates an integral design feature to match up with the beautiful design of the left and right grilles.

Thanks Warren, I'm trying to figure out what's on my 69... And why the fit is poor.... The bumper is a replacement... With the z bracket instead of the S bracket... and the bumper guards have a piece of trim spot welded to the inner surface ...see pic. My suspicion is they are not 68/69. That is a '70 to '72 style bumper guard.
