Many years ago I bought several NOS AP373S Tung-Sol flashers at a swap meet. These flashers are very similar to the Tung-Sol AP373V flasher except for the last digit of the Tung-Sol part number and the stampings on the top of the flasher. The top of the AP373S flasher is embossed "MFD TO J590-61", "SAE", and "3 LAMP". The top of the AP373V flasher is embossed "3" and "LAMP". The side of this flasher is stamped just like the AP373V flasher except there is the letter "S" instead of the letter "V".
My 1963 Chevrolet Parts Catalog (Oct. 1962) lists GM # 3758682 as the part number for the 1961-1963 Corvette flasher with the following description: "FLASHER, controls 3 bulbs only (AP373V)".
Since the letter "S" comes before the letter "V" could this flasher be for a 1961-1962 Corvette or 1959-1960 Chevrolet models?
Does anyone have an original 1961 or 1962 Corvette Tung-Sol flasher?
Dave
