odd 66 alternator on a car on Ebay

I know its not on a Corvette but a optioned out 66 Chevelle SS

I knew that series (20) existed according to the parts books, but have never seen one. Suspect it was used in commercial car applications, and may medium duty trucks. Maybe even school buses. Have seen 10, 15, 27, 30, and 45 series, but this is an oddity

Higher amperage output. The 10DN series used in 1962-68 Corvettes maxed out at 61 amps. These ran higher.

Thanks. I wonder why the car for sale would need one. Also I am sure those brackets are just as hard to come by.

Believe it uses the same mounting pattern, just would need a stronger bracket due to the extra weight.
