This T was used for 72 LS5's, but also for 70-71 wiper systems. I can't find that in my AIM. Can anyone tell me where it is used?
Have you seen this "T"? (70-71 wiper system)

Re: Have you seen this "T"? (70-71 wiper system)
I've had the vacuum system, including wipers, completely disassembled for my late-build 72 LS5 in the last few years. I never saw anything like this. All tees on mine were plastic, and none had a block like this. Maybe someone broke a plastic tee in the past and found this one to use?- Top

Randall, I've now seen this on several LS5 72's where it splits the vacuum line from the right front of the carb to the rear of the smog pump, and the bottom of the T connects to the metal vacuum line that goes to the TCS solenoid at the left rear of the engine. Joe indicated that GM indicated it was also used in a 70-71 wiper vacuum application, but it doesn't appear (by the dearth of responses) that anyone has ever seen it there.- Top

Mike, that could explain why I haven't seen this, as my smog pump system is missing from my car. This tee definitely wasn't in the vacuum or wiper system.- Top
