          Bob,

I bought the car in my home town of Knoxville, Tennessee. It was originally delivered to Nickey Chevrolet.

            Jim,

I have the body on a rotisserie right now. I am cleaning the underside, repairing fiberglass and removing paint.

I plan on breaking down the chassis when the weather cooperates.

            Thanks you for asking.

Hi Doc, "Smaller than usual". I know what you are referring to but here's the scoop folks.
The micro switch on the FI unit has a very tiny terminal end. One time Bill Clupper gave me a NOS one long ago at Carlisle as he worked for Packard Electric.
Today the miniature terminal end is reproduced exactly by LL.
The other end of the purple harness has two male terminals (normal size Doc) that plug in above the wiper motor to the engine starting wiring harness. If these black plastic connectors are just dangling on the harness that's a good sign the car is a real deal FI car.

                    Jim,

I am currently still restoring the body. It's on a rotisserie. Do you want me to post some pictures?

I enjoyed the 2016 BLOOMINGTON GOLD show and swap, and spent time with the 65 fuel injection cars. Three new entries in our 65 FI SURVEY. We now have 594 of the original 771 made in the SURVEY.

Chris Piscitello had a great 65 red / red FI 43000 mile convert rhat scored BENCHMARK. All three cars, Frank Pelly's black / silver coupe, and Greg Horton's red / red coupe with drum brakes scored Gold.

It's great to see you added a few more cars. 771 is approaching. Are you going to stop looking when you get to 772 or 773? lololol. Just kidding.

                              Tom,

I'm close to painting the body sometime this spring. The hood and driver's side door are left to be prepared before I can paint.

I'm still looking for a fuel injection air cleaner, but do not want to spend $5K to $10K. lol. Hopefully, I can find some air cleaner parts that needs to be restored for a more reasonable price.

                              Thanks,

                              Stephen H. "Bunky" Byrd
