My 63 FI is #306 it was time for an overhaul. I had the engine completely rebuilt and balanced, along with the fuel injection and transmission and new pressure plate, etc. Jerry Bramlett did a complete fuel injection overhaul including Dyno testing the FI unit on one of his test cars. The transmission was overhauled and fitted with a close ratio input shaft and cluster gears putting it back to a close ratio tranny. The engine overhaul and balancing was done by David McMurtry. Dave said that my timing was perfect because I had a blown head gasket and the engine was way out of balance. I guess that explained the roar/vibration coming from the shifter. It is a lot easier to talk while driving without having to talk loud.
