Has anyone compared the NCRS History data with the birthday calculator on the C1 registry for 62 Vettes? It might be interesting to see how accurate the calculator is around holiday periods etc.

I'm trying to get as closed as I can, if there are serious deviations I've included extra extrapolation data...

I was just hoping some of the individuals that had the actual information from NCRS would respond with the data.
I think your site is great. I wish individuals would put more data on it like casting numbers, engine assembly (pad) data, FI serial numbers, etc.

My 62 #10975 was born on May 8, 1962 and is spot on with NCRS and C1 Registry.

62 #12709 registry says born june 11....i picked it up from dealer on june12 1962 ( approx 15 miles from plant )...i always suspected that the dealer salesman picked it up and drove it from the plant to dealership since it had 18 miles on it when i picked it up

I have an order sheet for a 62 Corvette VIN 7724 that was ordered 1/17/62 and bill of sale from the dealer dated 3/21/62 i am looking for this car.

Ralph, you have been looking for a Loooooong time. since at least back to 9/1989 issue of the driveline. Red/Red FI, You still have the owner card and papers? Eric

Eric, Yes i still have the hand written order sheet and the bill of sale. My neighbor ordered the car new and sold it to someone in Arlington Mass. in 1963. The car had HD Brakes & HD suspension also.

Rob -- the calculator doesn't seem to handle the strike during 1965 production, from late Sept to 1st week of November 1964. So if members with VIN 01425 to 01426, or / 7/ 8, etc would let you know what the NCRS source comes up with, it would help. I'm guessing (from trim tag dates only) that last pre-strike production [#01425] was Sept 25th, and back to work on 6th of November.

I suspect mine, about 60 cars after production resumed, would have been produced the same day, but I haven't coughed-up the 40 bucks to find out (yet).
