C2 Wheels

Will 1965-66 wheels fit on a 1963 . I know they will not pass judging . Had a friend ask me and I am trying to help him.

Dan: Yes, based on my long ago experience. Check with Alan Colvin's books to see how the off-sets differ.

I also used some '69 Impala wheels on a '63 for some time. They are 15x5 (Two letter "valve stem code" is shown in Colvin's "Chevrolet By The Numbers" book). The '63 hubcaps were a tight fit.

The 63 Corvette wheels have the same offset (0.44") as the 65-66 Corvette wheels.

You cannot put a 63 wheel on a disc brake car but you can put a disc brake wheel on a drum brake car.
