      Mike,

You can block that. I did.

I don't belong to Linkedin, and I find it annoying when I get repeated "invitations" to join from NCRS people who have joined. I believe when one joins their entire email address list is sent "invitations" to join Linkedin. To me these are spam -- plain and simple.
It's not just from NCRS people. It's from anyone you know who joints LinkedIn. They never stop coming. What I also find silly is repeated requests from Facebook to join - even though I have. It's e-mail address specific, as Mike points out.

I use MailWasher Pro so that stuff like that doesn't even make it to my computer.

            Terry,

I couldn't agree with you more. I got one a few days ago from someone who graduated high school with me 42 years ago. I didn't even recognize the name at first. I deleted the invitation.

            Thanks.

Want to prove it, turn the links off for 24 hours and see if the problems disappear.

We have a meet and do little to no advertising outside of our own organization. We should find a way to get young people involved - get them involved with the cars first - the rest will follow. I have been to shows where not one sign was put up to advertise the show. We need to go out to the schools and find away to get them involved. Something similar to what is done with kids at the national convention.

              Just my thoughts............

              Dennis,

It would be more usefull to figure out what is causing the substancial delays (IE, virus scanner, CPU, memory shortage, harddisk activity, other) because I'm afraid social media is here to stay and the NCRS could benefit a lot from it. By removing the buttons we loose our capability to utilize this channel.

Don't get me wrong I'm very much in favor to promote the NCRS also using other channels (like suggested in your posting) because without the younger generation being interested in our beloved cars they are doomed to die

Maybe John can look into it this week (due to my absence to Romania this week).
