Re: 56 power top info needed
There may be others, but the only change I'm aware of is the grounding of the pump motor. Early cars had a 12-ga. black wire from the motor to a rear bumper face bar support, and later cars had a #6 braided copper strap from the motor to the LH side exhaust pipe bracket.- Top

Mike
You are probably aware that it is also a good idea to compare all wire terminations of the new harness with the old harness before installation. I learned this the hard way when I kept blowing fuses and finally determined that an assembly error was made at the factory resulting in red and white wires in the wrong terminal position on a rear body harness.- Top

Re: 56 power top info needed
Mike, Corvete Central's harnesses are for sure made by Lectric Limited. One person at LL that I found very technically knowledgeable and helpful when I was investigating T3 bulbs was 'Greg' - (708)563-0400 x307 at LL.
Also, with that low VIN number, I would think your car probably has the first design. -Dan-- Top

Re: 56 power top info needed
Mike,
As John Hinckley pointed out 56's had the motor ground wire on the driver side rear bumper bracket in the trunk in addition to the tail light ground. As far as I know that should be the only difference.
As you know the reproduction terminal and connectors are not very correct.
